What method do you use?

We use Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) method. This means we steam our placentas at 220 degrees for 30 minutes to kill any potential bacterial or viral exposure. Placentas are then dehydrated and blended into a fine powder and put into capsules.

When do I call you to come to get my placenta?

As soon as you have a baby. We are a 24-hour service.

When will I receive my placenta capsules?

Within 1-3 days. ( We will notify you as soon as possible if we are unable to complete it in this timeframe.

How should I store my capsules and tincture?

Capsules should be kept in a cool, dark place. In a fridge, they can last 6 months and 12 months in a freezer. Tinctures must be placed in a cool, dark place for 6 weeks to allow fermentation.

When is it not safe to encapsulate my placenta?

If you test positive for HIV, Hep A, or B. As a certified placenta encapsulator, I will thoroughly examine your placenta to ensure it is safe for consumption.

Are there any risks?

Risks are minimal if all safety precautions are used. Some adverse effects include fever, jitters, aggression related to hormones, irritability, and change in milk production. If you notice these symptoms, discontinue immediately. Wild Birth adheres to all safety precautions and staff is trained and certified in blood-borne pathogen training.

What is the cost?

The complete bundle is $300 with half due upon contract agreement.

When is the latest I can have my placenta encapsulated?

Placentas can be encapsulated for up to 12 months if frozen. We can be notified at any point to retrieve a placenta.
